Dollar Deal

Had to go to the hardware store this past Saturday and  in the side lot there was a yard sale.  I decided to stop.  Glad I did.  You know I love divided dishes, well I found one for $1!!  :-)  It's the one on the bottom (turquoise with snowflake like design.  I have 3 Pyrex ones right now.  I don't use them that often but I do love them.  Happy Treasure Hunting to you as well!! --Quiltpecan

How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?

Well..... if Sydneykatt and I are shopping, that doggy in the window will be bought for a deal!!!  These little doggies were purchased on an unexpected yard sale spree.  I spent a total of $1.60 for all three pieces!!  :-)

The little pinkish dog was 10 cents!  He was very dirty but he was just too cute to pass up.  The red dachshund was expensive!!  He was $1.00!!  He is small and just too cute.  We have a dachshund so my daughter and I had to have him.  The little gal with the poodles, she is a nice piece.  She still has a tag on the bottom.  Looks like she may have originally carried a parasol.  There is a hole in her hand so she is missing something.  But for 50 cents, I didn't want to pass her up.

Hope you are having fun treasure hunting too.  It is Spring/Summer, so the yard sales are out and about.  Keep your eyes open, you may get a great deal too!  --Quiltpecan

I'm so Blue

I love the color blue and didn't even realize it.  Nearly every room in my house has blue in it some way.  I collect cobalt blue glass.  My couch is blue.  My kitchen walls are blue.  Our bed quilt has lots of blue. Shall I go on.... LOL

I found this quilt top in my sewing room.  And it's BLUE and White.  :-)  It was given to me by my mother-in-law.  She got it in an auction box.  She sews but she asked me if I wanted it and I said, "YES" of course!!  I'm not sure of the pattern name.  It is a hand sewn top.  It needs a few repairs before taking it to be quilted.  It has some neat details to be a simple pattern quilt.  I've taken some pics for you to enjoy.  Need to get this one to the quilter.  :-)  That way I can truly enjoy it!  --Quiltpecan

Goodwill Goodies

Stopped by Goodwill after work on Tuesday and glad that I did!!  :-)  Found some unexpected goodies.  I spent $5 and some change.  Can't beat that!!!

Sydneykatt and I both love Rag dolls.  This is a small one.  Approx 3-4 inches tall and only 59 cents.

WOW ... Yo Yo's!!!  I have only explored one bag so far but it had 40 yo-yo's.  So there has to be at least 100-130 yo-yo's.  They need some shaping and TLC but how cool.  And only 89 cents per bag!

Got this jar for 69 cents.  I just liked it.  I love small jars and vases and such.

And it is a hand painted piece at that!!!  Cool!!!
I got this on a previous day.  I'd passed it by many times.  It was very very dirty and I just kept saying no but it stayed on my mind.  So when it was still there waiting on me.... I had to get it and it cleaned up PERFECTLY.  I love this little guy and he cost me a mere 89 cents!

Hope you are having a day full of treasures yourself!

Another AWESOME deal!

Ok... you know that Sydneykatt and I both love a bargain!!!  Well.... I had to get some clothes and have the best luck at JC Penney.  I work at a bank, so can't always go as casual as I'd like.  Anyway... my daughter was looking in her department while I was looking nearby.  "Mom! Can I get these...?"  I wanted to say "NO" until I saw the price!  $0.97!  Yes cents.. as in change.. less than a dollar for these SKINNY jeans the gals love that were originally priced at $36.99!!  Also some bootcut for when she wears her cowboy boots.  But it gets better!!! When I checked out, I got a discount (2 acutally) and ended up paying $0.66 for each pair of jeans.  Got 4 pair!!!  2 for daughter and 2 for niece.  My savings overall was phenomenal too!  I did spend $156.92 but saved $349.88!  AWESOME!  I love getting a deal!!! --Quiltpecan
