Perplexing Puzzle

Sydneykatt gave this puzzle to my daughter for Christmas.  She got a great deal on it but I'm tellin' ya!!  WE CAN'T SOLVE IT!!  We opened it to try it out and dumped out the pieces (it came together fixed) but I didn't think about taking a pic of how it looked BEFORE dumping it out.  We've tried it so many ways.  The hurdle is the pieces can be flipped over (reversible pieces... yikes.)  I will continue to try and so will the rest of us but if you see a solution....
