Monkey Bread

Do you have these things in your cupboards and refrigerator??  If yes, they you have all you need to make a fun treat for your family.  Kids will love to help with this recipe!

 MONKEY BREAD
Not sure why they call it this but I love it!
  • 2 cans Lg Butter Flavor Biscuits (3 cans if using small biscuits)
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts -can use more, less. optional if you have picky kids (or adults)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 T ground cinnamon
Combine sugar, nuts, and cinnamon in a large zip-loc bag. Cut biscuits into 6 pieces per biscuit. Shake 1 can of biscuits in the sugar/nut mixture and place in an ungreased bundt pan.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Boil sugar, butter and cinnamon just long enough for the sugar to dissolve. Pour half of this ooey gooey yummy mixture over the biscuits in the bundt pan. Shake the other can of biscuits in the zip-loc bag mixture and put on top of the first layer. Pour remaining melted mixture over biscuits. Bake 35-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Invert on large serving plate and enjoy!! Yum Yum!!

Then you have this!! :-) (see pic below) Great recipe for kids to help with. They like cutting up the biscuits and shaking them in the bag. My daughter helped make this tonite and my niece LOVED helping eat it!! LOL Since my Mom is gone, I try to do little things like this when they are here for them to remember and enjoy. Share it with those you love too!!  :-)   Happy Days to You!  Quiltpecan
