Cheddar Biscuits

In college, I worked at Red Lobster seafood restaurants.  We weren't supposed to eat while on the clock but when they would put up a fresh, new, piping hot tray of those Cheddar Bay Biscuits, it was hard to resist.  Many of us would sneak one and scarf it down while it was hot and moist and YUMMY!!  LOL  I still love them and wish I could have them more often.  My daughter and I have tried different recipes trying to find one that tastes like those famous RL Cheddar Bay Biscuits.  The recipe I'm posting today has come closest.  Hope you enjoy testing out the recipe yourself.  Have a great day!!  Quiltpecan

Red Lobster Style Cheese Biscuits

BISCUITS
2 1/2 cups Bisquick
1 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
3/4 cup milk
2 T butter, melted
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

GARLIC BUTTER
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 dash salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine garlic butter ingredients.  Mix well.  Combine biscuit ingredients in medium bowl.  Mix until well combined.  Drop approximately 1/4 cup portions onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Brush with garlic butter before baking.  Bake 14-16 min or until tops are light brown.  After baking, coat with additional Garlic Butter.  Serve Warm.
