Anyone making popcorn balls for Halloween parties? Try this recipe. We used to make this alot when I was younger. My daughter and I have made it too. May just have to make some now!! :-) Yum --Quiltpecan
CRISPY CARAMEL CORN
7 QT popped corn
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white Karo corn syrup
1 tsp salt
2 stick oleo (margarine)
1/2 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Boil the brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt five minutes. Take from the stove and add soda and vanilla. Pour over the popped popcorn and mix well. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir several times while baking. The disposable aluminum roasting pans are a good size to use for banking this tasty treat.
